The Thames at Richmond

The flat straddles the Barnes Sheen border and is in the London Borough of Richmond, which is fortunate enough to be part of a well co-coordinated transport system for London.  Buses and trains abound and the flat is in easy reach of motorways servicing all parts of the country.  Heathrow and Gatwick are 30 and 50 minutes drive respectively.

The British Rail Station is a 7or 8 minute walk from the flat, across Barnes Common.  The overland trains from there go to anywhere in the country, the station being three stops from Clapham Junction and only 18 minutes from Waterloo.  Paris on Eurostar is about 3.5 hours.  In the opposite direction the line goes to Richmond, Hounslow, Windsor and beyond.
Hammersmith Underground services all of the London network.  District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City Lines. Direct bus link into the station. Transport for London buses stop outside the flat, going to Hammersmith, Putney, Richmond, Rhoehampton and beyond.  A free bus carries out a ferry service to Kew Marks & Spencer's.

The two main London Airports are easily accessible by road.  Heathrow is 30 minutes by road and Gatwick within the hour.  Both are also serviced by rail and coach links.
